Melaleuca essential oil (Australian tea tree oil) is frequently used for its powerful antiseptic properties and effectiveness against bacteria, viruses and fungi, and can also be used to disinfect wounds, promote healing and reduce inflammation of lesions. 

ONE drop in your gargle water and your sore throat will be gone. Dab the inflammation in your mouth with a cotton bud soaked in the oil and it will be GONE by the next morning. 

Its versatility has been proven by our tests.

Natural essential oil with a broad spectrum of activity:

  • Antiseptic, antibacterial, antiviral & antifungal.

Areas of application:

 Ways to use

Massage– Use 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for every 4 drops essential oil.

Immersion bath  Use between 10 and 20 drops essential oil in a spa bath or in the bath.

Air fresheners–Use between 3 and 5 drops essential oil in water or alcohol in a room diffuser.

Pillows or sheets –Mix between 3 and 5 drops of essential oil with the grain alcohol.

Vapourisation/inhalation – Add 5 to 10 drops essential oil to a bowl of hot water and cover your head with a towel. Breathe in the moist air with the essential oil until the water has cooled down.

Foot bath – Dilute 5-8 drops essential oil in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil and add it to a bucket or foot bath with warm water.


IMPORTANT ALLERGY NOTICE:

Never apply undiluted to the skin – may cause irritation.
Not suitable for pregnant women, children under 3 years of age or those with allergies to essential oils.
If in doubt, always perform a patch test beforehand.

In Europe and Switzerland, the use of tea tree oil is recommended as follows:

A scientific opinion from the SCCS (Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety EU), which serves as guidance for safe use concentrations, is available:

  • Up to 0.1% in face creams (leave-on)

  • Up to 1.0% in facial cleansers (face wash) / shower gels

  • Up to 2.0% in shampoos (rinse-off)
