The white appearance of zinc is eliminated without reducing the UV-blocking effect through the use of zinc nanoparticles. Zinc oxide is anti-inflammatory and has excellent water-resistant properties. Infrared radiation (IR) accounts for over 50% of solar radiation, generates a rise in temperature, penetrates deep into the skin and has an adverse effect on skin physiology.
