ELASTI-CURL has been developed to care for different types of curly and wavy hair, tailored to their specific needs.
This range has been formulated to use plant oils that protect the health and beauty of curly and wavy hair, refreshing the curls and restoring their elasticity, whilst protecting and moisturising the hair.

 A brief guide to curly hair:

If you don’t know exactly what type of curls your hair has, this can lead to using the wrong products or following an incorrect hair care routine. Here is a brief guide to the different types of curly and wavy hair. All hair types can be classified using a simple alphanumeric index.
Technically, hair is classified into 4 types:

• Type 1 – straight hair
• Type 2 – slightly to distinctly wavy hair
• Type 3 – curly hair with tight curls
• Type 4 – Hair with so-called ‘tight-coiled spirals’, as is typical of Afro hair.

Each number is assigned a letter, A, B or C: these letters describe the curl pattern, which can be more or less tight and dense. 

LET’S START WITH CATEGORY 2 A/B/C:
This category includes hair with slight to pronounced waves. Although you might not think so, this hair is the most difficult to manage, as it has little volume and shape and quickly loses its definition.

• Hair 2A: Hair that is slightly wavy, with little volume and definition.
• Hair type 2B: the waves are shorter and clearly defined. Hair thickness and volume are normal.
• Hair type 2C: the hair is not only wavy but often interspersed with proper curls. The hair tends to be dense and thick. From left to right:

• Hair 3A: the curls are wide and voluminous. 3A curls are often well-defined, elastic, shiny and soft.
• Hair Type 3B: the curls are spiral-shaped; the hair is voluminous and tends to be coarse and thick. These curls are usually well-defined and elastic, but can easily become dull and frizzy if not cared for with the right products.
• Hair 3C: the pattern of so-called ‘cork-screw curls’. This hair is relatively thick, tends to frizz and has a variable but generally small spiral diameter. This curl type is very voluminous and must always be well moisturised to maintain its airy, elastic appearance. From left to right.

FINALLY, CATEGORY 4 A/B/C:
Type 4 hair has what are known as ‘tight-coiled spirals’, as the coils become progressively smaller. This pattern is typical of Afro hair. It is highly porous, brittle hair that is often prone to breakage.
The shape of the curls can vary, from tight to very tight, and become increasingly defined depending on how the spiral shape varies:
• Hair 4A: extremely coiled, with a clearly visible S-pattern.
• Hair type 4B: tighter, less defined frizzy curls.
• 4C hair: The curl pattern is less defined and more concentrated, and the spirals are tighter

Active ingredients in the ELASTI-CURL range

All products in the ELASTI-CURL range are enriched with three oils of natural origin, selected for their nourishing and elasticity-enhancing properties:
ORGANIC COCONUT OIL
Coconut oil is one of the most popular natural oils for hair care, particularly for hair that requires extra moisture.
It is rich in saturated fatty acids, which have a nourishing, softening and repairing effect on the hair. Coconut oil provides very curly hair with the right level of moisture, a fresh shine and softness, and counteracts frizz.
CHIA SEED OIL AND SACHA INCHI OIL
This blend of oils gives the hair new elasticity and a fresh shine thanks to its high concentration of tocopherol and fatty acids. The antioxidant properties of chia seed oil, combined with the nourishing effect of Sacha Inchi oil, protect tightly curled hair from external influences and help prevent the hair from drying out.
