First things first!

1) We only offer certified UV protection that also has a nourishing effect. From certified SPF15 to SPF99.
UV products with caring ingredients focus on the uppermost layers of the skin for technical reasons.

2) Skincare products with built-in SPF are the absolute exception, as the skincare ingredients are formulated to penetrate deeply and do not separate from the UV protection. For customers who prefer simplicity, we offer a curated selection of skincare SKUs with UV protection from Healing Earth, DUKE CANNON and BelCol (TRI acne range).
3) Our high-quality skincare products without UV protection penetrate ALL layers of the skin, right down into the tissue. That is why we have not included UV protection since 1990. That is why combining them with UV protection is essential.

Even on cloudy days, even on tanned skin. UV rays are the number one cause of environmental ageing. Don’t worry, you’ll still get enough vitamin D even with sun protection! Only deeply pigmented skin needs to be less concerned about UV damage. However, even here, UV causes the breakdown of vitamins A and C in the skin.

Here are the typical pain points with standard sun protection products:

To make sun creams smell pleasant, fragrances are almost always added. Neutral is better and does not harm the skin! Natural fragrances, such as those in Juliette Armand or jane iredale’s Handdrink, are fine.
In Switzerland, sun protection filters are regulated by law, but the classification into SPF categories is left to the manufacturer. Certified sun protection products are safe.
Sun creams usually sting the eyes. When you sweat, they run into your eyes and sting. Jane Iredale’s mineral powders never sting and provide all-day protection.
Most sun creams stain laundry. The mineral powders from Jane Iredale do leave a slight mark, but this is easily removed with water.
Sun creams only take effect after 20 minutes and become less effective with repeated application. The mineral powders by jane iredale protect instantly and all day long.
Sun creams labelled KIDS or BABY often contain colourants and perfume. The mineral powders by Jane Iredale offer the best protection.
In tropical regions, sun protection and insect repellent often do not work well together, as the insect repellent contains alcohol and damages the filters. We therefore sell insect repellent separately.
Our skin loses vitamins A and C in the sun. Only RAD SPF15 from Environ replenishes these vitamins immediately.
Even SPF50 does not provide protection for the whole day, but only 99%. Anyone who has to spend hours in the sun should protect themselves with suitable clothing, a hat, glasses and mineral UV protection.
The absolute best protection is mineral powder, as it reflects, protects immediately and never stings the eyes.

All products sold here are FREE from microplastics and nanoparticles. The products may also be used on children of all ages.

GOOD TO KNOW: never place children under 24 months directly in the sun. Your child will thank you for it as an adult. UV protection! Ours is water-resistant for 40 minutes. Nevertheless, drying wet in the sun is like having thousands of tiny magnifying glasses (= water droplets) on the skin!

Mineral filters do not protect against infrared and blue light. So be sure to apply SUN CREAM in addition to make-up during the summer months or on holiday if you want to be well protected.
